Group vendors by category to understand the mix of spending. Add your own tags to organise subscriptions across those categories—then use them to find the information you want.

Good to know

How do we get a household view?

Invite your partner from the Household screen. They join with their own account and connect their own email. Each person chooses which subscriptions to share; the household view combines those shared subscriptions and lets you see them by person.

What can my partner see?

For subscriptions you share: the name, provider, cost, billing cycle and renewal date. Your source emails, notes and source links stay private. New subscriptions start private, and you can stop sharing any subscription.

What if we both pay for the same service?

Patches flags possible overlaps between shared subscriptions. Compare the two plans and decide whether to keep both. If you choose to cancel one, you do that with the provider.

Can I use Patches on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Patches works in your phone’s browser, and you can add it to your Home Screen so it’s always a tap away. No app store download needed.

On iPhone: open Patches in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. If you see Open as Web App, leave it switched on.

On Android: open Patches in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, then Add to Home screen or Install app. Follow the prompts and you’re ready to go.

Do I need to connect my bank?

No. Just connect your email. Patches finds subscription details in receipts, invoices and renewal notices.

Do I need someone else to join?

No. Start with your own email accounts and see your subscriptions in one place.

Can I use more than one inbox?

Yes. Mix and match Gmail, Apple Mail and Outlook. Your subscriptions come together in one view, wherever the receipts arrive.

Can I add a subscription myself?

Yes. Add a subscription yourself or edit the details of one Patches has found.

Can I get a heads-up before a renewal?

Yes. Turn on notifications in your Patch to get reminders before the renewal dates saved there.

Can I cancel a subscription through Patches?

You cancel directly with the provider. Patches brings the costs and renewal dates together so you can decide what stays.

What email access does Patches need?

You’ll review and approve your email provider’s permissions when you connect. You can disconnect later to stop future access. More about privacy.
